Best ISP?

Been with lobsterpot for about a month now & what a change to get an ISP that I can connect to first time EVERY time. Game pings are good & I don't get any lag at all when playing. Download speed is good as well. Was with Madasafish for years but they have blown it big time. Engaged tones most nights at peek times. No replies to any e-mails, including the e-mail I sent them to cancel my account!! Had to contact Worldpay to sort that out.

Keep up the good work Guys

And if anyone from BT is reading this.....
GET OFF YOUR COLLECTIVE AR*E'S & GET MY EXCHANGE UPDATED SO I CAN GET BROADBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Just discovered this service through general browsing. Never heard of them before. They are Nildram powered yeah?

So what does that mean for in-game pings to Jolt servers?

Anyone care to post?

Cheers

I play counter-strike on some of the jolt servers & get a ping of about 150-180. Not brilliant but better than what I was getting with Madasafish. The one thing I will say is that since joining Lobsterpot I get NO lag, none, nada when playing counter-strike or day of defeat. I don't play many other games on the net so I don't know what it is like on Q3 or UT?
I have been with Lobsterpot for a few months now & I'm on the web almost every day & I have NEVER had a busy tone. I know this sounds like an ad for Lobsterpot but since leaving MAAF this is like a breath of fresh air for my internet usage.

have joined. and i like it. average to good for web-browsing. it *is* very stable for the most part for online gaming - but suffers from horrendous moments of packet loss (possibly modem retrain errors?)for Q3.

I've never had a problem with reconnecting after 2 hours; no obvious 10 min enforced wait. The 10 minute idle time does seem to be rigidly imposed.

Nice "members only" area on web-page.

Would be nice to see some alternate dial-up numbers. Apparently their intending to add more services in near future (as hinted at in an enquiring email i sent) email took a day and a half to reach me after 10 min auto-response.

Not the best isp in the world. But certainly competent. 8 out of 10.
