Considering EE seems to be limiting Ookla tests to 200mbps whilst other platforms accurately show much higher speeds, I'd be interested to know what your favourite speed test apps are? And, if anyone knows, why are EE limiting Ookla?
I can't see why EE would single out Ookla as it is in their interests to get favourable reports from the various parts of that organisation. It could be that due to its popularity the routing is different from other Internet traffic or that where the network is congested it is managing throughput generally.
If I use Ookla, nPerf and the TBB tests I get very different results and have always found the TBB ones to be a more reliable reflection. (TBB main test available from ISPreview link)
Currently getting 303Mbps 4G+ (nperf) on a mast that last week was abysmal. All I want currently from EE is a reliable service and it doesn't need the second provider SIM when out and about. Hopefully EE will settle down again soon.
