Black Friday

Is it just me, or were the black friday sales this year even worse than usual?

The only thing I picked up was 2 new monitors, and they weren't even ridiculously discounted (£145 for 27" 1440p IPS 75Hz). I only got them because my old monitor happened to kick the bucket the other day.

I haven't yet seen any discounts that match the deal I got on my Flip4 a month or 2 back either, so I've not had the buyers remorse that I was expecting!

Agree, the only thing worthwhile to buy were digital items on black friday (e.g. VPN or Usenet subscriptions). Everything else was just the same price as it always has been.

saw three flogging the S22 with unlimited everything for £27 a month with £30 upfront. Not too bad.

I'm not a fan of Samsung's regular phones these days, they're overpriced for what you get compared to some of the more budget brands. I do love my Flip4 though!

Lenovo Q27q- 1L inch 2K QHD "Gaming" Monitor

They're actually £149, I must have had an extra discount on mine when I bought them.

They're surprisingly good, they're obviously not the brightest monitors, but they seem reasonably colour accurate, and the two that I've got have had no defects.

The stand looks really nice as well, but I've got them mounted on a dual monitor stand. The only thing is the VESA mount is right at the bottom, and the cables stick straight out the back rather than downwards like most monitors, which could be an issue if wall mounting.

considering they're essentially selling it for £264 does bring the price down by a good amount.
(Unlimited data - £16 a month, phone £11 a month. 11x24=264.)

But then you still have to deal with having a Samsung!

The thing that surprised me when I first got my Flip4 was the fact I couldn't charge faster than 10W unless I bought what is essentially a proprietary fast charger! (nobody else uses PPS)

Even my OnePlus Nord that had it's own proprietary 30W fast charger would go to 15W with a PD charger, but Samsung decided that wasn't something they'd allow!

I spent ages getting rid of most Samsung software on the phone as well, it's absolutely awful.
Samsung Pay doesn't work with Halifax so it's pointless, the Samsung dialler is ugly, Bixby is on par with Siri for being the worst assistant etc.

Where did you get that deal? The best Black Friday deal (£360 off) on the Flip4 I could find with Three, works out at £1130 on a 24 month contract?
There's no way you can get a new Flip4 for £264! Not even in Hong Kong!!

I said the S22

That's a good deal but you are still paying £678 for 24 months...according to your screenshot. Not bad for an S22 but only the 128 gb version....maybe they have a few of those hanging around...
