Broadband Gaming Tweaking

Anyone any guides or hints for tweaking a broadband connection (PIPEX ADSL) for the best pings in online gaming? Currently they bounce in around 40-120, average around 80 on most servers (although it depends on the server). Any links to good tweak sites or the like would be appreciated.
:D

CABLE MODEM HACK WALKTHROUGH by Swansea-Jack.

Ok, before I start, you use these instructions at your own risk.

Right, first you need to write down two things, your dhcp server address and your cable modem mac address. Now you need a programme called Cisco network registrar, open it up, and click on admin, then on clusters. In the new box, click on add cluster and type in the numbers you got from your dhcp address, click ok. Now in the server manager box, you should see the numbers you typed in, click on that and the user name is admin, the password is changeme. Now click on DHCP, then on show properties, go to the client tab and click that, you might have to wait a while as your modem will be downloading tons of information.

Now scroll down the list and find your mac address, when you have matched it up take a note of what is in the client classes field, this is very important. Now click on the policies tab, and scroll down and match up the client class tab to the one you have noted down. Now go back to the clients tab, find your mac address again, click on it, then on edit, and in the box change the class to *****gold. Click on ok, and close the proggy.

Now this is the important bit, switch off your computer, and unplug your modem, leave for about 1 minute, your modem MUST be unplugged from the mains. Now plug it back in, and power up, you should now have a super fast connection.

This might not work for everyone, your ISP might have changed the password, or they might after a day or so change you back to your default speed.

Also you have got to make sure the class file you change in the programme is the one for your modem, so be careful.
