its really not been the best year for me, even my computer has it in for me.. might have to reinstall T_T and l really dont wanna.

l have no idea what happened but it could be in relation to the audigy l pulled due to one port not working or at least thats when some of the issues started happening.

basically l installed the panel to see if l could sort out my issue with not being able to hear a couple of my speakers, in any case l ended up pulling the card and going with the onboard sound which works a charm, however since for some reason after so long online, occasionally after one or two large downloads l end up getting blank pages, both IE and FireFox go blank when loading so there isnt any errors the browsers kick out.. the strange thing is that altho l get blank pages random sites do still load, for example google front page loads but the search gives off a blank page, ISPr did the same yet l could load the webhosting review site..

only after rebooting my system do l tend to see improvement, only program that l could see relating to the problem is bit defender but its unlikely however its the only program that accesses the net.. and before you tell me its the three Wireless modem, l changed to two other dongles and the same issue happened which is why its so puzzling.

then 5mins later back to having to reboot just to get back online and view all sites rather than a handful

If you don't want to do a full reinstall then save yourself some trouble and do a 'Repair' install instead. I don't know what OS you're running but in both causes you need to boot from the original install CD/DVD, under XP you'd just select the HD with windows on and then select to repair it (note: NOT the repair 'console' option).

This will just replace all the system files but leave all your data, apps and most drivers fully intact. You may need to run Windows Update though. If you have Vista then it gives you a nice GUI option to repair the files, though you might want to try downloading and running Microsoft's file integrity checker software first (only for vista/7).

after some searching on my mobile, l found out that bit defender is the likely issue.. in fact ive disabled everything just to get on currently looking through their support forum to find out how to fix since the update and the amount of ppl complaining about it coinside with my issue.

tho on another note three was having issues, most of the day the network was down.

Yeah but that's normal for Three :) .

heh, not round here.. its generally been pretty good in fact lve had nearly 7meg download speeds most nights.

tho another issue cropped up lm sure its something to do with bit defender l cant defragment my drives with diskeeper 2010 atm...

after uninstalling diskeeper l can defrag again tho it seems to freeze every so often defragging my TB drive.. have you use the tool you posted? l dont mind trying other tools but ld prefer recommendations before l try.

Yes and sometimes I also use defraggler too, though defraggler seems a bit more buggy.

just gave the link a try, going to have another go with the more in depth option over the weekend no point defragging too much..
