BT and Pipex nightmare, please help

you could move the phone line to another supplier away from BT

This won't remove any tag on the broadband line, as there is no physical cease placed when transferring your telephone service between providers who use the BT Wholesale PSTN (telephone) network. Broadband will only be ceased if you move your phone service to a fully unbundled LLU provider i.e. Talktalk.

:)

Amazing. 3 weeks of hell trying to explain to Pipex Indian call centre what the problem is and how to solve it, nothing.

1 day explaining to UK call centre with SurfAnytime and my line is already clear, ready for new activation.

For anyone that doubts ISP's with UK call centres aren't worth paying any extra for, when things go very wrong, believe me you'll wish you had!.

can vouch for that, just a shame my current ISP wasnt contactable 24hrs a day, first extended downtime lve had in a year.. had to resort to mobile net to get online. annoying but hopefully l shall find out what the problem is some point soon.

Nightmare officially over. Now connected with SurfAnyTime. I realise the first 10 days of fresh installation are line testing, but already the connection is as fast as it allows (ADSL1 type, 8mpbs max) and I'm already getting 830KB/s download speeds, nice :D
