Having waited for my BT Broadband for 3 weeks post order confirmation, spent hours on the phone, sent numerous emails to complaints@btinternet.com - and got nowhere, I finally spoke to a engineer who stated that BT had a software fault which meant :
1. my job was on the delay list and being monitored - big deal !
2. they could not predict when they could provide me with service
3. no other ISP could provide me with service
4. other customers were similarly affected
Anyone out there having the same run-around or know anything more about the mysterious software issue ? Surprise, surprise - nothing posted on the BT website and my order is so old I can't track it there anyway.
I am now requesting daily updates from them - it happens sometimes - and chasing compensation - wish me luck.
