Not sure what to make of this...
The Smartphone 5 looks like a normal android mobile but is a lot thicker, costs more and is a landline phone. You can install apps etc like normal, but you can't use it on the mobile network; it's locked onto the landline system. So what's the point? British Telecoms seem to be selling it for nuisance call blocking, which you can do with many, much lower cost, cordless phones on sale at the moment. Then there is is the apps side of things. I would have though most of the target market for this device would have a much more powerful/responsive mobile already? EDIT: BT says this is so your children do not have to use your mobile. Judging by the details I can find, they'd be better off with a chalk tablet, it'd be more responsive...
And then it doesn't work with other DECT phones. I mean: wow, just wow. It's £169, incase anyone's interested...
