Am struggling to contact BT about a broadband issue. When I ring the 0800-800-150 number I am asked to key in my bt phone number but I don;t have one, so I am stuck.

If BT can't make it easy for a potential new customer to talk to them live over the phone or on the internet then they don't deserve my custom.
Usually I wait for the 'for all other options press..' phone message and go with that, which tends to get you through to a human. But I'd agree that expecting a customer to have an existing BT number is a pretty dumb roadblock to place in the order process, especially as they do now sell data-only packages too.
