Bt Internet Billing - Phone

This might sound a silly question but how does the billing work with BT internet + internet phone.

I have a BT line at home and just pay xln to pay for the line and calls and want to leave that in place.

The internet I have now is with tiscali and works great having a seperate bill. With BT I can have an internet phone and a second telephone number, which is where I'm getting confused where does the call charges for internet calls come in for this and where will I get billed.

I'd prefer having a seperate bill from my BT line/landline calls for me to use BT Broadband.

Thanks in advance

Slightly confused by which product you're refering to here, can you offer a link to the one you're talking about? Is this one of BT's Total Broadband packages or?

With BT, your broadband will be charged to your normal phone bill. If you sign up for their internet phone that will be billed seperately and you will be able to set up a different direct debit.

I actually asked to have all my BT bills in one, since I have the phoneline, internet calls and BT Vision but they can't do it, I have to have 3 seperate bills and 3 seperate direct debits which is a pain.

I'm very surprised at what you post Gareth.

I moved back to BT early in the year after the 'Biscit' affair and I only get ONE bill from BT which includes my line rental, broadband, house phone calls and my Broadband Talk calls all itemised seperately(4 items).

Exactly the way I get billed too!

In that case I'm going to complain, I hate have 3 direct debits all on different dates. When I signed up for BT broadband talk they said 'we can take your DD details from your main account but we can't add this onto that account', and the same with BT Vision.

Thanks for letting me know.

Gareth

I really hate BT sometimes. I've spoken to them and told them that I wanted them all on a single bill and they said it's impossible, I have to pay all 3 seperately. I think a friend of mine is about to sign up for Vision so I'll see if he's allowed to do it, and if they do I'll fax them the proof.

Gareth,

What is happening at BT?

It seems that you are being refused what seems to be the norm. Perhaps you will have to resort to smoke signals so that the 'injuns' will understand and as a last resort SEND IN THE CAVALRY.

Keep us informed.

They still insist that it is absolutely impossible to have a single bill and direct debit for my line rental, ADSL, Vision and Broadband Talk. So I'm still paying 3 seperate direct debits each month. When I tell them that I've been told other people are paying by a single payment they dismiss it and say it's not possible.

Who have you been corresponding with?

I think with everybody - when I first asked it was with BT Vision order department. Then I phoned the main BT accounts department. Now I've emailed them and I'm still waiting for a reply 3 days later. It's not a major problem, but if BT's online billing messes up again like it did last month it could get expensive with 3 DD's. Even with the direct debit guarantee if your charged a fee for going overdrawn the guarantee doesn't cover you for that.
