It's taken 3 years 2 months and 28 days for BT OR and the local council to arrive at this point. A couple of weeks ago a cutting across the main road was put in to connect the old cab 38 in Wallasey and the new FTTC.
A day or two later they installed the cable to connect the two cabs. The only thing to do was blow the fibre (which is already in the joint box) across the road and make the necessary connections.
The old cab is a 300 pair cab the size of the cable to the FTTC is 140 pair. So not everyone is going to be able to connect initially.
To add insult to the already very slow attitude to improve speeds on cab 38 BT have seen fit to add 9 months to their availability date which is now DECEMBER 2017
This will mean BT have lost 4 years income from this cab. What a way to run a company!!!
