BT wholesale FTTP live ... but open reach says no

Hi All,

saw some open reach engineers working in neighbourhood and asked to be told that FTTP works ongoing. This is in line with sept 2020 plan

now 3 weeks later the BT wholesale checker says available but on open reach website it’s still super fast (80Mb) only.

Any clue on typical timeline ? Can’t wait to get a 900 connection

I live in Bromley if that helps. Thanks

Unless it is unrelated FTTP work I didn't think Bromley was being covered in the current phase (other than Bromley Common). https://api.superfastmaps.co.uk/fibrecities/1.0/?city=Bromley

It may be preparation works (aggregation points)

The most reliable source for OR FTTP being actually available is the BT.com ordering site. They are the most likely to amend the Address Lookup first. Once its on here you can then use this or other ISP sites to order.

Some updating of new streets may be delayed due to current OR Covid restrictions.

It's not uncommon for there to be a time lag between when a new network goes live and ISPs updating their database, usually lasting a few weeks. This is a bit like when you move into a new build house and find that the address isn't yet recognised by everybody.

Check with some supporting ISPs, like BT or Zen, and if their websites don't show it then try giving one of them a call to ask.
