C&W do not touch

Just by way of saying do NOT touch any broadband that uses C&W equipment, to say it is garbage is giving credit to it.

I recently changed provider who are getting me changed over to o2 Wholesale equipment for which I am now waiting the change over date to arrive at the end of this month.

The C&W equipment is/has given me the in all the years I have been online the worst broadband connection I have ever had. Dropped connection on incoming calls, and just dropped connections, packet loss etc etc.

A dropped connection on incoming calls might not be the fault of C&W's platform but something else (e.g. a defective joint somewhere in the line to the exchange). If your line is aluminium then that might also be an issue. It will be interesting to see if your problems go away after the O2 swap or not.

They will go away because......

I was moved from o2W equipment onto C&W when I joined my new ISP and the problems started from day one of the change over.

My line is copper.

You would hope so yes because of the past. However if it was that change which was done that has caused a issue with the jumpering then it may carry on. Has it been raised to OR to investigate that?

I really do not want to take it down the OR route unless really neccessary, see what happens after the changeover first.

That is when you get the old is it the provider or customer who should get them involved maybe.

Talking of OR, I noticed the other day that they are using third party engineers, white vans with a another companies name on, and
a notice stating, "Working on behalf of Openreach". The engineer was doing pole/cable work, not just digging holes as you do see.

This has been case for years now. Your see Openreach, Kelly Communications and MJ Quinn generally.

Yep it's quite normal to outsource certain work to different companies with the necessary skills, especially if the technician/engineer involved doesn't need to get into the nitty-gritty of OR's telecoms cabinets and exchanges etc.
