Can't send email today

Can't send email today. Called tesco customer no 08456508000, a voice tells me that they're working on it and to call 08005192345 for further information. Called latter and the voice tells me that they're working on it! Not amused as I am job hunting so emailing is rather important for me at this time. Anybody read this?

Unless a company has specifically asked for emails its not usually a good way to find a job. Unsolicited emails will usually be ignored.

Tesco emails

We have been having problems sending emails for a few days now. On several occasions it has taken three or four 60 second time-outs before Outlook Express has let it go. Also had delays sending from their webmail. I have a hotmail account too, so have been using that.

I'm not sending unsolicited mails to companies. What I'm doing is normal email correspondence and answering e.g. requests for my CV. BTW, the pop server came back up this evening, but my mails are still considerable delayed. This could possibly be related to the SWEN virus that is being sent around in high volumes.

Tesco email

My email seems to be working normally again today.
The hotmail account I have is purely web-based (not through Outlook Express), that way it will hopefully reduce my chances of downloading a virus. Some companies block all hotmail emails to reduce spam, so yahoo or somewhere else may be worth using too/instead.
