Changing authoratitive dns for domain

co2

Hi

We have a domain registered with a provider, but our website hosted
with a seperate webhosting company......the authoratative name servers for the domain are ns of the webhosting company. We're planning on moving to a new webhost but want to be able to manage the domain with our current registrar.....we don't want to change registrar so what's the process of changing things so that we can manage dns with our domain name registrar. IS there a transfer process.....can someone explain the general process
and steps involved. This is a non .uk domain.

thankyou in advance.

that depends on the resgistrar, some have panels which vary, lm sure you know what a name server looks like? (eg. ns.example.com tho they can be different) my suggestion would be to find the new name servers and email support and ask them to change them.. if you had the domain with godaddy.com l could walk you throufh it as l use them myself.
