Changing isp package

Hi,
Am seeking your advice.
I am with TALKTALK  and have had poor customer service and no email server for a week. The line speed is 589kbps !
As a full Sky HD customer I am thinking of changeing the full package (phone and broadband) over to Sky.
Please let me know your advice and experiance.
Many thanks,
Tim.

I seem to remember you are locked into an 18 month contract. Something that was buried very deep in the Terms & Conditions. It's why I didn't join...and given the probelms they have had I'm glad I didn't.
I'm with Nildram...all seems OK

changing isp package

Hi Tim,
About your problem, i'm with talk talk but not internet i would not switch to them personally Talk talk were like walking before they could even crawl, Tim i have just been on their site put in my details as if i was joinging and they offered me talk 3 [ Keep it] and 18 months omggggg 18 month contracts should be outlawed, i've been with F2s for 16 months now on 8meg with 2 meg download speed all for £14.99, IF you can move soon 1 isp provider not to go with is Sky please check these ppl out before you sign up on ispreviews reviews
under broadband and then type in sky, also check out think out thinkbroadband.com who list just about every isp going only thing is Tim its done differently like saying if people like it or they don't, also try net4now.co.uk under Broadband and look for Talktalk and Sky, Finally heres a question for broadband suppliers like pipex, the rest plus and talk talk Why do you think your customers need an 12/18 contract????? Good Luck

Thanks for the replys and info guys. Am hoping there will be more advice to come ! 3 reply's out of 300 odd reads is poor.

Dunno if this helps, but a pal of mine signed up for the total Sky TV, Phone & 16MB Broadband package and thanks to a BT line/exchange fault was without bband for nearly 3 months - Sky's help & support being utter cr*p.

My feeling is that if bband (ie the Internet & services) is important to you then go for a dedicated bband package from a highly-reviewed specialist provider: Fast.co, ADSL24, GreenISP are 3 that I can recommend from personal experience: verify your usage & select the most suitable package.

After all, what's a saving of £10 or £20 a month these days is you rarely if ever get what you're paying for from the "el cheapo" provider?

HTH
Guy

Talk Talk, Sky, Orange, Virgin, Tiscali you get what you pay for.

I would far prefer to pay for what I get.

Pay nuts, get monkeys.;)
