Citrix End Point Scanning

OK,

Thursday before the weekend my work laptop worked 100%. I could run the citrix end point scan and then enter my username, password and security keycode. Access to the work network was then granted.

On the Monday/Tue after the weekend I booted up the laptop tried to connect to work network and the citrix end point scan would simply scan for a very long time before doing nothing.

I took the laptop into work and tried to connect using our ADSL BT line in the office which is used for all sorts of testing purposes. It's not part of corporate network and it's a ADSL connection like any home user would have.

The laptop booted 100% and citrix end point scan worked.

I borrowed a loan laptop from work to ensure my laptop was not causing the issue and the same problem occured at home, but the loan laptop worked fine on a diff ADSL connection at work.

The only thing that changed over the weekend between the laptop working and not working was a 21CN exchange upgrade.

I have tried plugging router into master socket and I have tried a diff router, but the problem still occurs. I am at a bit of a loss really and my ISP can't offer any advice.

Any ideas?

if l get what your saying is a program you used has stopped working since you have had your connection/line upgraded..

firstly l assume both connections use a different ISP in which case the question l would be looking into is the port the program uses to connect to the web (for example port 80 is for http, port 21 is FTP, etc) while the program may not use a dedicated port it will still use a port to access online content so firstly checking that your router is port forwarding correctly then contacting the ISP would be a good idea.. however before doing so you will need to know which port you are using with said program to contact their technical support about.

Does your connection work normally, or you unable to test that?

Do you know if your router gets a real ip address or is it behined a NAT?

Have you sucesfully used your net connection for something other than a webpage/email that isn't located at your isp?

Can you still visit https pages?

Might also be worth running 'NETSTAT' (on windows) when you try to make a connection as that can sometimes show you if a particular port or service is being blocked in some way. I've not heard of this specific problem before though so it's a bit new on me.
