City Fibre installing poles in my area?

City fibre seem to be doing work in my area. I'm confused on how it works as they have just put up a huge pole similar to a telegraph pole at the bottom of my road. There is also 5 other poles about to be put up in the area along with some duct work. My question is how are they using these poles to get fibre to peoples houses?. All my cables are underground for the phone. If everyone gets fibre from a pole its going to look like spaghetti!!. Do they use BT's underground chambers to get it to peoples houses?.

It's up to them which is the most viable option. You're lucky you don't have the spaghetti strand fibre running to your house (yet), my family all have fibre coming from the poles. Looks a bit old fashioned but it does the job.

Overhead fibre is pretty normal for a lot of communities. I'm guessing this made the most financial sense for your area.

Same for me, in Southend-On-Sea.
Was a bit confused how it's going to work and if it's for every customer. I guess only time will tell, haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else on the internet but this thread
