I've seen cityfibre building around my street for the past few weeks, however when checking their availability checker it says they don't have any plans for my area. Has anyone who had cityfibre planned in their area also experienced this?
Cityfibre has announced that their plan to rollout a new 1Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based broadband ISP network across the large UK town of Read

However, if you've seen them around your street and that work involves running fibre along the pavement and then leaving a toby box outside your home in that same pavement, then you will be covered.
If supplied by overhead look for either a purple micro duct indicating civils or what Cityfibre call a ASN installed at the top of the pole.
In Langley Green, Crawley City Fibre's contractor Lanes have been present for around 3 months and appear to be completing and moving onto Ifield and Gossops Green. Actual FTTP connectivity does not look present currently but I am expecting them to come live an estate at a time as it will take 4 years to cover the whole of Crawley. So look for the ASN on Poles (OH) and the Toby Boxes (UG) and then availability is likely to be 2 or 3 months after that.
See Cityfibre map at https://www.cityfibre.com/rollout/ for coverage areas and zoom in. Be aware though that they appear to be missing out certain properties where there may be a wayleave or covenant issue.
