I signed up to a 12 month SIM-only contract with Three for my 4G broadband at the end of November last year. This was through Fonehouse, who offered 100GB per month for £15 before cashback (£7 after cashback). Went up to £17.17 (before cashback) in April this year, but still a good deal.
I am looking at my options for the next 12 months and have found that Fonehouse are offering an even better deal at the moment: 100GB per month for £6 after cashback (£15 before), so that would be my preferred option.
I am not sure how to go about the change. Do I have to give notice to Three that I want to terminate the existing contract or does it just expire (like insurance) if not renewed? And how soon would I have to give notice? Is it worth haggling with Three over another contract?
Regarding buying another cashback offer from Fonehouse, will they let me do that? I guess I could always buy in my wife's name if they won't sell another cashback deal to me.
Since I am using the SIM for broadband only, I am not particularly bothered about keeping the number. However, I want to stay with Three since they are the only network without CGNAT.
Any advice is much appreciated.
