Confused

Hi, I am totally confused. I have EE for my mobile and BT for broadband.
I use a Samsung A13 mobile, and have trouble hearing on most calls, most people sound like one of Dr who's Daleks. I have purchased a repeater with both external and internal antennae. As this kit only has a basic external antennae, I am thinking of adding an amplified antennae, and that's where the confusion sets in.
A lot of anntenaes I have looked at mention either mobile phone or router but not both, yet the frequencies mentioned are the same for both. Are external antennae for mobiles and routers the same?
Please Help and thanks in advance

I think the repeater likely isn’t doing anything or helping you.

If you have BT broadband at home, just turn on WiFi calling and your issue will likely be resolved (or turn it off if it was on already and use 4G Calling.

As @TTJJ mentions your phone won't use your broadband connection / wifi for calls on your mobile unless you enable Wifi calling in your phone and it's supported by your mobile provider. I would try a different phone using the same SIM to make sure it's not the phone.

What does https://cellmapper.net show for your location?

Could you borrow an unlocked high-end mobile from a friend to test or test in an EE store nearby?

Leave EE for Vodafone or Three if call quality is an importance for you.

Based on what?
The fact that EE has very little compatible call quality codecs, especially for outgoing calls compared to Three & Vodafone's IMS. I alwyas notice when I'm being phonrd by an EE customer as calls are never in HD and it always sounds like they're underwater. But if I call them back, it's always in HD and sounds a million times better. O2 do also have a highly compatible IMS system but other issues with their network stops me reccomending them.
Sky do not support HD voice at all so avoid them.
