Connection becomes inactive

Malachy

Member
I would like to ask if anyone is having problems with their firefly connection becoming inactive by this I mean the notification of an active connection is on but webpages fail to load and downloads become inoperative. To isolate the problem I checked my modem by using another modem I checked my software by using another browser and checked my connectivity settings all fine. I haven't had any problems until this - and I am wondering is it time to jump ship :(.

Thanks,
Malachy

If Firefly uses Mediaways try switching off software compression in your connection properties.

Some users at Vispa experienced a similar problem - seems Mediaways has it enabled as default, so if you've also got it set at your end, it can cause conflicts.

Anyway, give it a try.

Malachy,

it's best to raise any such issues via the FF support forum which is monitored religiously (i don't mean just on a Sunday ;) )
