In the autumn of last year I phoned Pipex and told them I wanted to migrate, they offered to put me on a rolling monthly contract at a reduced rate to see if the problems I had with them improved ( very low speeds). The problems didn't go away so I phoned Pipex in November and cancelled my account and was given my migration code, great you would think, NO!
My account with the one month's notice closed on 15th December, yet Pipex keeping trying to bill me for me, they initially stated my account wasn't closed, and would cost a year's fee to close it. Finally they agreed that it was their mistake and that would be the end of the matter. BUT NO!
THEY STILL KEEP TRYING TO BILL ME BY LETTER, YET VIA E-MAIL THEY STATE THEY HAVE GOT IT WRONG.
The left hand ( in Lithuania) doesn't talk to the right hand ( in the Philipines) and now I have a letter stating if I don't pay another 7.82 and return a direct debit form for future payments they will put me on a credit blacklist. When I phoned them and explained yet again, they first told me I owe 64.33 then stated this was a mistake and my account closed 15th December!
They also repeat everything you say back to you in order to keep you on the phone longer ( 10p / minute) with a normal call lasted 10-15 minutes, and you cannot talk to anyone who is English or in the UK.
Pipex in my opinion are rubbish, really poor customer realtions, really poor speeds, and should be regulated to ensure they either improve or are taken off the market...lets hope the credit crunch gets rid of them!
