CPE Pro 2 NAT Advice

Hi Everyone,
After a bit of advice regarding a Huawei CPE Pro 2 that i use with a Talkmobile Unlimited SIM. I have just bought a new PS5 and it is showing that the NAT is Type 3 and i am having issues with connecting to servers etc.

After doing some digging i found out about CGNAT and bought Andrews & Arnolds L2TP service to get around the Vodafone CGNAT however i have now noticed that the internal CPE NAT is restricted to Level 3 or 4.

My question is if i was to buy another router and bridge it to the Huawei would that solve my NAT issues?
Thanks

If you get around it by anything other than a VPN do let me know.

Otherwise, merely impossible as the network provides it, the exception being Three using ‘3internet’ as the APN afaik.

I have a PS5 over EE scancom sim broadband, Type 3 has been fine for apex and Fortnite, though not tried any other online games I don’t think.

I know COD won’t work on my Xbox for this reason, likely the same response if I had it for PlayStation.

It's a problem of your carrier rather than the CPE. Get a Three data sim and use 3Internet as the APN will fix this problem as it provides a public IPv4 address.

Thanks Data/Carl. I was originally with Smarty but Three made some sort of change to the closest mast in the area and the Three 5G network is now unusable for Home Broadband. I'll give a second router a go with L2TP but if not i'll make sure it has functionality for OpenVPN and sort it that way.

For anyone who might be interested, the above solution i asked about has worked and i now get NAT Level 2 on my PS5. I have "bridged" the CPE Pro 2 to a new AX12 TP Link router with the TP Link connected to AA's L2TP service. I guess you could argue that the L2TP is like a VPN, but it fixed the issue i had as well as some other annoying things like CAPTCHA's etc.
