Cpe pro2 + honor router 3 config

Hi
I purchased a cpe pro 2 . Put it in modem mode but cant connect my honor 3 router to it . The idea is to place it upstairs near a window and run a cat 8 to the honor router which will be the wifi device . Any help ?thx

Ensure you’ve got the CPE Pro 2 set to Modem mode, ensure you’ve got it plugged into the correct port, on the honor 3 router plug the cable into WAN port and change internet connection mode to DHCP. Should do the trick.

Isn't it called "bridge mode" instead of "modem mode"?

Thanks for the reply . It is called bridge mode yes . .. so cable should go to wan port on the honor3 router and bottom port on cpe pro 2 or top one ?

Try to put the cable directly in your laptop and set the local area connection to dhcp (it's like that already probably), do you get connection?

I got screamed at by kids for disconnecting them lol i will try that later . Thank you so cable from cpe pro 2 in bridge mode directly to pc . And set dhcp inside the cpe pro menu .

Set dhcp in your laptop, not router, it does its own thing when un bridge mode.

Prior to putting it into bridge mode, make sure your CPE is on a different subnet to the one you're using for LAN on the Honor. e.g. if you'll be using 192.168.1.0/24 for your LAN, set the CPE to 192.168.8.0/24 for example. Otherwise, you get routing issues because the CPE is still accessible on its own subnet so that you can access the management UI. Also, make sure the Honor is configured to get its WAN IP via DHCP.

All evening trying yesterday and nothing.
I have changed the cpe pro to bridge mode : on the DHCP it says dhcp and this option cannot be changed in bridge mode .
I have also made sure the subnets are different cpe 192.168.5.2 and honor router 192.168.3.1 ..
i assigned a static ip to pc and could connect to cpe pro .
now i managed to connect the honor3 router once only ( ethernet bottom port lan/wan cpe to wan port of router (honor))but the wifi could only accept one connected device at a time ..otherwise every time tried to reconnect the honor it gave me the message cable disconnected .
At the moment i have reverted the cpe back to non bridge mode and disabled the wifi the honor connected but i dont know if its a good thing ( i can have wifi ).
