To date two "FTTP available to order" dates have come and gone and while 'Infrastructure Solutions/sifibreenquiriesmop' insist FTTP is on the way to my address they keep pushing the date back and advise me to continually check the Openreach availability checker. Originally I was told I could place an order in June and then September however it has now been pushed back to January (and I fully expect that to move as well).
I appreciated this is very much a first world 'problem' however I'm desperate to move away from my current Vodafone FTTC/VDSL connection. When looking at alternative ISPs there are relatively few that allow for rolling monthly contracts and should it come to light that FTTP isn't going to make an appearance for some considerable time I might be able to get more options by looking at providers who implement a 12-month contract instead.
Do I just sit back, relax and keep checking the Openreach checker periodically or is there any other way of trying to ascertain when I can finally place an FTTP order?
