Decent RSRQ/RSRP but terrible SINR on external antenna?

Sounds like it's a provider supplied unit that has custom firmware which limits the bands (but also enables bridge). The bands that should be available on 'stock' B535s are 1/3/7/8/20/28/32/38
I can't seem to win! This is from Eternal Communications and I think it's refurbished router from the Swedish 3 network based on the language preferences.

So they must limit their bands over there. I guess I'll go back to the B525 which at least gives me both.

There are a lot of variations out there, particularly across Europe - I know the Finnish Telia model has band selection built into the UI (but again they limit the bands)

Very strangely, on the LTE H-Monitor dashboard, it says I am connect to Band 3 on both upload and download (1729.2 MHhz UL/1824.2 MHhz DL).

However in the Radio selection, page, I'm only seeing the limited bands.

Sounds like the router itself has all the bands then, but the API (which LTE H-Monitor uses) only advertises certain ones.

It feels like it should work fine for you in that case, providing you don't need to force the bands - as you can't select B3 I expect that would only be available when using 'Auto' (or whatever the default non-forced-band option is called).

That's good to know. Do you think there's any clear benefit over the B525 (which I still have?). I seemed to get better speeds out the box with the B535 but that might have just been a placebo effect!

The B535 (should) aggregate B3+B1 for Three, assuming B1 is available from your mast already.
The B525-23 cannot do that aggregation (the B525-65 model can).

Aggregating B1+B3 should give a higher download speed - in theoretical speeds, an additional two-thirds over B3 alone but in the physical world, probably not that much, but that might be what you're seeing.

Additionally, with the device being somewhat newer, there will be some natural technical developments hat might be seen as improvements (modem sensitivity, fabrication node, etc)
