Dell colour printer for £9.99 inc vat & delivery

They have Easter discounts on other hardware too e.g. up to 260 pounds off laptops! :)

Must ... resist ... temptation ... to buy 17" laptop which I have no particular use for.

"the printer ships with trial size cartridges" then you have to purchase dell only replacement cartridges to qualify for the 12 month warranty, so have you checked the prices for original cartridges? well they are megabucks, for the record.

Dell certainly seem keen to recoup their discount: £45 for a set of carts, £12.93 if you don't remove their cable, and more than the printer cost for 2 years insurance

Apparently it is manufactured by Lexmark: I've read certain Lexmark cartridges can be made to fit by cutting some tabs off.

I was just drooling over some colour lasers on ebuyer including an £325 OKI with a £75 manufacturers cashback offer.

I got one of these last year under another £9.99 deal, its still working on the supplied cartridges. It is by no means a brilliant printer (it bands on graphics badly), but if like me you just want something to print off the odd letter or web page its fine.

Same here, I'm impatiently waiting until this desktop setup burns out. :crap:

17" tft monitor - Cant seem to justify it at the moment.

I will have to stick with my 15" Altec Lansing monitor; still surviving from a HP Pavilion 100 I got in 1996!

Speakers attached to the side, built in mic, headphones socket, mute, and volume buttons. I have looked after it and its like new!

Perhaps I should now be embarrased.

...

 15 inches ! That's taking things to extremes. Seriously, do your eyesight a favour and get yourself a monitor that's at least 17". 17" CRTs come in around 50 pounds on ebuyer and 17" TFTs around 150 (more than the price of many 19" CRTs). :)

Bob2002, my young daughter likes to play on the pc now and again and I would not want her staring at such a large screen up close, plus I would have to buy some awful looking speakers. This unit, although old, is neat & tidy. :)
