Hi all,
A few weeks ago a friend of mine pointed out to me that BT was in the process of upgrading all their exchanges so that the existing 2mb limit on standard ADSL would be upped to 8mb all free of charge, woo! Imagine my glee after finding various websites confirming this and that my exchange would be upgraded in March of this year.
So I waited and waited and nothing happened with Demon, no email about the upgrade nothing at all on their website about it, yet plenty of other ISPs are already rolling it out (because they dont have to do anything on their part AFAIAK).
I contacted Demon through their online feedback and asked them about it and pretty much got the cold shoulder and was told nothing and that its not their policy to tell customers about anything that may be upcoming!!
So my problem is this: Is there anyway I can get out of this shitty Demon contract (12month of which there is 6month left) without any penalty so I can switch to an ISP that can keep up with current affairs?
What is more annoying is that I switched to demon from plusnet because of the sneaky limit they put on their unlimited service and demon dont have limits on their 2mb home office account.
So if anyone has any information about demon regarding why they are failing to implement the upgrade or even talk about it or how to get out of the contract early without penalty I would greatly appreciate it.
Many thanks.
Leigh.
