Demon have basically been caught with their pants down. As part of the BT upgrade to 2mb, demon thought they have enough capacity to cope. WRONG. Downloading at any reasonable hour forget it, it's more like dialup.

The major issue is latency though, no online gaming can take place whatsoever due to very poor ping rates.

Customer services is also non existent as some of my friends have been told that new capacity is on order and others (including me) have been told that it is a contention issue and if you don't like it tough!

Demon, not good!

I wouldn't recommend Demon either!

They were alright at first 2Mb unlimited, but the reliability became a big issue. First it was going down for a couple of days at a time, then it went down for over a week. Contacted their tech service people (after being bounced around several different national rate numbers), spent 45 minutes running tests with some bloke with poor english who said the problem was between the exchange and their server then put the phone down on me!
When I phoned back to get a MAC to go elsewhere they claimed the problem was with my computer and the line worked fine, it didn't! then some 2 days after that it all started magically working again!

Now I am getting threats and silent phone calls from their thugs at 1st credit demanding I pay for the rest of the 12 month contract! Even had one of their goons say they would ignore my right to withdraw implied right of access to my property and then lie to the court saying they never recieved any notification of the withdraw as I would not be able to prove otherwise in court.

Steer well clear!!!!!:crap:

I would personally contact BT tell them you are getting threatening phone calls ans could they log who is calling also block all calls that withhold their number. Contact the police as they are using threats and would like to have advice on how to protect yourself if you can set up a way to record their phone calls when and if they talk. Also might be worth resending the withdrawl a copy of the original one to them recorded delivery once they sign they can't say they didn't recieve it. All emails to them need a reciept of deliver and a read one if possible as prof for you.
