I worked in the Danish sector of the North Sea in the mid 1990s for about a year or so and saw much of central(ish) Denmark, from Esbjerg in the west, to Billund (home of the Lego brick and the first Lego theme park), to Copenhagen in the east when flitting between the various airports. It's pretty much unchanged I see. The Danes are great (no pun!), and most speak very good English too. Danish pastries are to die for. The only bad experience, which was quite funny really, was having muesli for breakfast one morning in a hotel. I just poured milk over it and took a big mouthful only to almost throw up. It was soured, which I was assured was OK with the Danes. Yuk! Don't even like yoghurt! We had a laugh and I had a refill with the proper stuff!
