Difference between Huawei 4G B525-23a & B535-235

Hi,

I'm looking for a Fixed 4G Router. I'm evaluating these two Huawei options.

The price of B525-23a is slighty higher, but the B535-235 seems to have much better features: CAT7, 4G+ (carrier aggregation) and support one more 4G band than B525 (28).

The only advantage of B525 gainst B535 is MIMO.

Is that the reason why the price is similar, being B525 a CAT6 router with no carrier agg?

Which should I choose?

Thanks in advance

The answer to that question is "the right carrier for you", more so than the actual router I believe. The quality of the carriers network and mast hardware is the biggest factor in what speeds you'll achieve, not the router at your end.

Thanks for your reply

I'm aware of it. I don't intend to get x Gbps just buying one or other router without considering the carrier coverage and performance. But considering the same carrier, with an average of -80 dBm RSSI at the entry of my house, I was wondering which router will be the best. I live in a two-level house, 220 meters square.

The B535 is a much newer model than the B525 and for me, worked considerably better - in that it gave me increased speeds using the Three network. I am now using the B618 which in my situation is pretty much identical in performance to the 535, but it might be a tiny bit quicker which is why I've hung onto it.

My B525-23a does CA or 4G+, there is very little difference between Cat6 and Cat7.

Its really going to depend on the provider you plan to use and how they have the mast configured now and their future plans for upgrading. Good luck with that, the info is hard to find.

Thanks..... I'm planing to buy a free Router and then decide the carrier. Fortunately, most of carriers have good coverage at my home and two of them offers a good data plan without being pushed to buy a propietary router.

I was referring to acquire a free B535 router and then decide then carrier to provide SIM. Sorry for the misunderstanding

I have decided to go for B535, as neither USB nor VoPI interface are a necessity for me
