Does anyone have a sales rep's telephone number?

Hi all,

I am about to bite the bullet on Community Fibre's 3gbps service. I was under the impression that you can still get some great deals from the sales reps that are visiting door to door. I've not seen one in my neck of the woods and was wondering if anyone had the contact details of one?

I've called CF directly and they are offering £50 per month without the mesh (24 months contract). I've left Virgin and thought I'd give Community Fibre ago.

I'm in the Barking and Dagenham area (although I'm not sure it matters?)

Thanks in advance,

Cue.

£50 per month it's a great deal for 3Gb. I wouldn't touch their wifi solution. Much better to do your own. I prefer Ubiquiti Unifi.

£50 is a bargain, grab a POE Switch, U6's or U7's and some ethernet cable, and go ham and setup a lot better system.

Thanks for post BTW, I was thinking in going for the 3Gb plan but not at current price. Glad to know I can ditch the useless "premium" wifi and still get it at £50...

Yeah....

Called this morning, £50 per month, 1 month free, 24 month contract.

So it could be worse.

Could have had the install this week, but i rescheduled until next.

So, what should I start buying?

Im also getting the 3gb (non premium) install tomorrow (Wed 27 March) and was offered 6 months free 24 months at £49. However im not happy with the price increase on year 2.

Previously I was on the 920mbps package and couldn’t get any great offers for my contract renewal (was on rolling for 2 months) so I cancelled and signed up as a new customer.

When I called CF they also offered me 1 months free on the 3gb but at £49 not £50, so make sure they give it to you at £49.

Last year their installation was super smooth, we’ll see how and what they changed this year.

Hi fwzm,

Just to clarify, you're getting 6 months free, £49 per month (24 months)? This was arranged via the sales team?

Yes, 6 months free at £49 per month* which comes out to £36.75 over 24 months. Oh and also he said I wouldn’t be charged an installation fee.

This was arranged via a sales rep. I have asked him if he could get you the same offer and he said that he would speak to his manager, so I’m waiting for a reply from him.

Initially he asked me if it was for friends or family but I said it was someone from an online forum. He was a bit hesitant after I said that, so after the call in my head I was thinking I should’ve just said it was for a friend.

I would try your luck and ask the sales team if they could give you the same 6 months free and tell them that you was referred by a customer on the same package and that CF was highly recommended to you.

*CF at their discretion may increase the monthly price on or after 1st April

Thanks for the response. If it can happen I'd greatly appreciate it. The tele team are not offering anything more than I got and i tried over several days. It's why i was hunting for a sales rep.

Regardless of the outcome thanks for the update. It seems the reps still have a lot of wiggle room to capture customers!

Hello all,

Want to thank Saladin and Deanilson for their respective contacts, managed to get install and 6 months free @ £50, 24 month contract. Install next week.

The best deals are still in the sales reps hands!

I'll let you know what equipment I get and how the install goes!

Cheers,

Cue

Hi all,

Just a quick update.

Install took place this morning, two person team. This was their first time doing a 3gig install, but other than the equipment and a few phone calls to other members of their team it was basically the same process, with the exception of the sfp.

I enjoyed watching the fibre splicing machine, what a cool bit of kit!

Nice and fast, technicolour router is alright as well. Shame there is only one 10g ethernet.... It's an excuse to by a new switch, but I don't think I need to waste any money on a new router.

Cheers.
