does anyone using UKonline?

THey are great. Support is the best I have encountered. Only virgin mobile support is better in my opinion.

Speeds are great, I am regularly accused of using a ping hack in CSS :D. however very rarely your connection may just disappear for some reason. If this happens and ukonline says they don;t know what is making it happen, is it usually something on your end. Such as extension line pulled out of socket by accident etc. Otherwise if it is a problem with your exchange, they usually have an automated information service tell you any prolems they are having when you phone up their support. (e.g. we are having problems with the exchange at XXXX and hope to get it fixed XXX)

Only problem I can forsee is that your service is not activated before your first billing. In this case, you may be billed whilst you dont have a service, since this is taken by independent payment service worldpay. My service was activated within a week though, so I didnt have to worry, and actually got a few days free internet since billing for that first month didnt start till a few days later.

Good luck.

DarkSpark, i am considering to move to ukonline, their prices are very cheap, i hope the service is not too. the forum that someone point to before in this thread is full of complaints, ppl not able to connect and out of service, i would agree with you that ppl are full of praise of CS in that forum too but having good CS does not mean you will get good service too. have you use UKonline for long or you have only joined them recently?

I am with UKOnline, no problems with them. been with them since April last year. you are right about the connection just going down occasionally, but not very often. doesn't bother me at all as the speeds are great. seems there are a few people that have trouble with UKO, but all ISPs get complaints. I went for 2mbit, £30pm til the contract year ends. currently £25 for 2mbit.

stealthworm, I am on the same package, but since I am on their lines I pay £15 for 2MB. I could get to 8MB and still pay the same price you pay for 2MB. :D.

Whatever you har about their support, I cant rate it below good. The staff are really knowledgable and from their end can even tell what router you have without you telling them. THey truly are clued up.

*Ive been with them since september. Had no cutouts during christmas which I rate as very good. Theres usually a lot of trouble at christmas with ISPS in general.
