Yes but they're a bit of a mish-mash. Obviouslly you have iTunes and other services like Sky Player if you're a Sky TV subscriber, though Sky Player is also becoming available on separate subscriptions now too (i.e. XBox 360).
Blinkbox is a bit better and you can 'rent' (24 hours) new film downloads for a few days for about £3, the quality is also reasonable. Typically none of these sites seem to show the most recent films but Blinkbox does at least have some good choice from releases that happened earlier this year.
Also you can BUY downloads too for unlimited viewing, except sadly the Rights Holders have been a bit dumb and use DRM to restrict you from playing the film on more than one platform. The movie 'Public Enemies' is available for £10.99. Not sure why anybody would find that more attractive than buying a DVD, which can at least work in every DVD playing device you have.
Thanks for the reply. They are not what I am looking for. It seems as if I am out of luck again. Maybe it just proves the point that an estimated 700,000 people are using P2P torrent downloads to get what they want.
Some ISP may take the idea up of providing a download site specifically for films, maybe in the distant future.
We definitely need more choice and at a reasonable price, right now the mediocre quality (HD please!), DRM, price, impact upon an ISPs bandwidth and lack of content/features makes legal movie downloads highly unattractive.
Interesting site leffit, never heard of the films though hehe .
You know I wouldn't even mind if there was DRM but only so long as the website allowed you to pre-select or even change the device you wanted to play the file on. If I download a film via my PC then that's just because the computer has my Internet connection, yet I may actually want to play it on a PS3 or 360.
