DVI Graphics Card

Hi,

I'm looking for a new graphics card, and I have no idea what to look for.

Basically, I need a good value card that is reasonably fast and can output to DVI (and preferably includes a DVI cable).

I don't need anything special as I'm not really a gamer (I have a PS2 & PSP for that) although I do occasionally play the odd game.

I think a budget of £50-£70 ish is about right.

Thanks

Andy

Graphics cards have come with DVI output for quite some time now, even my old FX5200 that I bought yonks ago for £50 (?) has one together with a VGA (so technically it can support two monitors at once).

I just bought this for my dual monitor setup (yes it has dual DVI _and_ is AGP) - http://www.videocardshop.co.uk/product.asp?productcode=PV-T43A-NDF . You can compare prices on Froogle etc., but £71.99 inc VAT seemed quite a good offer. I believe you can get DVI to VGA converters if you have a monitor with no DVI input. :)

Disclaimer: I know nothing much about video cards; my purchase fulfilled my requirements - AGP,dual DVI,nvidia, comparatively cheap.

I have the same card and it works great and does allow me to play games fairly well on the PC, I'm adicted to BF2 at the moment.

I want a DVI output specifically because my monitor can use DVI signal - it would mean I could do tech support on other machines and still use my computer on the same monitor without having to buy a KVM switch.

I don't particularly care whether it's Nvidia or ATI, but then I don't know what the pro's and con's are of them.

A single DVI port is fine, although a standard port as well would be good.

Yes, I meant that you're not locked into DVI monitors only which is important given how long VGA has been around. :)
