Thanks to Microsoft, the act of Slipstreaming the latest Service Packs into an existing Windows Vista install DVD has been made a lot more tedious. For those not in the know, Slipstreaming allows you to update your existing legitimate Windows disc to include the latest service pack files/patches/drivers etc., saving a huge amount of work and bandwidth when installing new business or home systems.
I recently had to deal with this problem at work and after some hunting we found a really clever solution (vLite) that more or less automates the whole process and gives you a lot of additional control to remove Vista's bloat if so required:

I also made a cut-down version of Vista for home use, getting rid of Defender and lots of excess applications. I could even add a bunch of tweaks to the process so now doing a clean-install is incredibly easy and time-saving. Just thought I'd share it.
