ECLIPSE Wot a cok up

Earlier this year I requested a MAC code from ECLIPSE as I was offered a better deal from Orange (and the Eclipse service was nothing special anyway)
I used the code and everything was fine, good speeds no disconections and free call over internet great!
Then on the 19 March 2007 my connection stopped completely after checking everything my end I call Orange tech...Many many times over a few weeks up to the 9th April in fact I was told that another ISP had requested a cease on my line and booted off Orange and on top of that left their marker so I could not use any other ISP!!
Eventually found out via Tiscali it was one of their resellers namely Eclipse!!
I chased Eclipse who were up front polite and said that I needed a new MAC code as they had ceased my Orange connection by mistake and promised email one to me to pass onto Orange.. It did not arrive, I emailed Eclipse who again did not reply.. next day I telephoned them and was given a code. Then called Orange who said it could not use the code because they already had the account active?? and said I needed to get Eclipse to cease the account on my line before they could get me back online....
Called Eclipse again!!! who told me they cant cease it because they had generated a MAC for the line which is valid for 30 DAYS!! So since the 19th March and ongoing I have no internet (which I am still paying for)
Now all this hassle caused to me on my private tel line by a company that has no business to interfere at all..
I have every intention of pursueing this matter for compensation through the courts if I have to.. Any ideas how I can get this sorted?

Contact ofcom, and give a review on this site. Eclipse is my ISP and I have had about 4 years of no problems, but I am dismayed to learn that they are going downhill. Especially as I have just put 2 people on them.

If my understanding of how line markers work is correct, this is extremely illegal. BT Wholesale should not have even allowed them to do it. Orange should be raising all hell about this...

After contacting OFCOM, I would give BT Wholesale a call to ask how they could allow it to happen...

no BB since March 19 2007

not even a Sorry...
I had a good connection going with Orange for over a month... read Eclipses only reply:Dear Customer,

(Call Transferred) Thank you for letting us know.

The MAC was originally generate as per your first request, once that had gone through our automated LLU process transfered you over to our LLU supplier which unfortunately made the requested MAC invalid.

Once this was picked up a new MAC was generated due to this being a LLU MAC code, Orange have decided not to honor it even though this is a fully functioning MAC code and expectable in the hands of Ofcom.

Due to the LLU process we are unfortunately unable to cease the line until the MAC request has been canceled.

Kind Regards,

Nick Mahany

this is why i opted out of being put on eclipse llu because most isp's wont accept llu mac's

At least you got the option - I was notified that I would be moved to LLU, immediately requested that I remain on BT connection and was basically told 'tough'
