Just tell yourself the E stands for 5G Extra.

At least one of them is decent. EEs struggles with basic tasksI totally get that in today's day and age, being pushed onto or finding yourself on Edge really shouldn't happen unless it must... But... Vodafone's Edge network is surprisingly good xD
I mean, Wideband calls, easily enough data speed to send a WhatsApp, RCS or iMessage and maybe enough to drag race an O2 customer![]()
EE did struggle the most when I tried too. Calls were horrendous, lots of drops and bad speech. Struggled sending messages a lot of the time too.I just tested all 3x Edge networks where I live. EE had over 30% packet loss and was abysmal (Had the best upload speed weirdly). O2 put in an ok showing but again, over 20% packet loss. Vodafone had the fastest speed and less than 1% packet loss.
Probably more than enough, EDGE on O2 here: surprisingly none of the pings are over 10k!I totally get that in today's day and age, being pushed onto or finding yourself on Edge really shouldn't happen unless it must... But... Vodafone's Edge network is surprisingly good xD

It's so frustrating!I wish there was a way to disable 2G on iPhones. This is a location with perfectly good 4G, and the drops to Edge and GPRS are horrendous. Luckily the family member I moved to VF only really is bothered about calls and texts so doesn't notice.

Would you say your ID mobile sim has been more reliable than Vodafone recently or it is a mixed bag ?Really not impressed at all with Vodafone in Scarborough. Didn't notice how awful it was until I've been keeping an eye on it over the past 2 days.
It's spent most it's time on GPRS or EDGE all along the seafront of both bays, where EE, Three and even O2 provide 4G+ or 5G.
Then, on the north bay, there was no service AT ALL. Like 0 bars.
Three was giving 2 or 3 bars 4G+, EE around the same.
Not impressed for the amount they charge.

iD/Three has been 10x more reliable than Vodafone has. Will be moving my family member who lives here back to Smarty once her contract is up.Would you say your ID mobile sim has been more reliable than Vodafone recently or it is a mixed bag ?
Seen a LOT of thisLol whilst reacting to your post my Vodafone sim got stuck on Edge![]()
Three of us (family) were with Lebara for more than 2 years. And then we had the famous 3G switch off and the dreadful Edge (E). There were times on family trips that Internet was unusable. Even on holidays abroad, the E was following us. So i decided to move my personal number to ID, in order to avoid the single point of failure, when we were out and about and VF coverage was pushing us to E (plus enjoy the 30GB roaming allowance for £7 month). No regrets, and no more E.Would you say your ID mobile sim has been more reliable than Vodafone recently or it is a mixed bag ?
