Hi folks.
My EE 4G sim in my B525 has worked superbly since the start (mid last year), however for reasons unknown to me, Santander online banking refuses to work. Do any of you EE 4G users have the same problem? This is via Windows on a desktop, not via the mobile app. I have tried it with Chrome, Firefox and IE and every time I click the 'log on' button it just sits there with a blank screen trying to load before eventually timing out with 'retail.santander.co.uk took too long to respond'. I have disabled all ad blockers and externsions to see if one of those was the cause, but alas, no change.
However if I activate a VPN, regardless of location, the page then loads without issue and I can do what I need to do, but this only works up until the point when a OTP needs to be sent out to authorise a transaction and then I find that the OTP page layout doesn't load correctly and won't allow the code to be keyed in. I've complained about it to Santander through their twitter but predictably "we were unable to replicate the issue". I've been informed by someone who is generally clued up on internet matters that it's because EE 4G use ipv6 and when I activate the VPN it will be changing to an ipv4 address when then allows it to work, but I have no clue about such things so it could be a crock of siht.
Could you EE 4G users try it and report back please?
