EE (5G) abroad

you guys NEED a holiday!! ;-)
hahah i think Lucian probably is on holiday ;) or work.
I'd probably do the same and let you all know about the speeds abroad. Sadly i've not managed to escape the island since 2018 and desperately in need of a holiday.

I'm on holiday indeed.. not that I needed or wanted one but hey. 😅

In Munchen this time, no 5G for some reason, but heck of 4G.. On top O2 of all things, how do you like that.. 😁
Lte 3CA from hotel room, combination of B1+7, 20+20+20 MHz. Mast has got to be very near.

I know this thread is about EE, but as an accolade, even Vodafone's decent here.

Looks impressive to me Lucian, just look at those turrets.

Nice to see some improvements, when I was last in Germany on Vodafone I used to cap out at 40mbps unless I was in Koln which managed to go over 100.

I'm going back to Menorca soon, but this time not with Lebara so I should be able to test all 4 networks and use Movistar this time if it's better there than vodafone like last time.
What SIM you going to use instead of Lebara, do you know dose a Vodafone own SIM only roam on Vodafone Spain am just wondering if Lebara get a cut down version of roaming but saying that Vodafone is probably been cheap and Vodafone only too.

Smarty/Three roaming allows a connection to all networks within Spain. Vodafone pay as you go & Lebara are both limited to Vodafone ES only in Spain, but I *think* Vodafone pay monthly can access Movistar and Orange too, but not YOIGO/MasMovil.

but not YOIGO
Last time I was in Spain that network was pants so not a great loss, in Spain your data speed is normally fine if you can connect to Movistar or orange.

Movistar was the only "not pants" one where I was, YOIGO did not exist at all (it didn't even appear on a network search), Orange was 3G only and Vodafone was 1mbps in the middle of the night, and couldn't hold a coherent 3G phone call during the day
