EE 5G contracts

I noticed EE have different sections for phone vs data contracts.
What's the difference? Has anyone tried buying their phone contract and putting the sim into a router?

I'm tempted by their £37 contract here.

Yes, that's how I'm using it, regular 37£ phone sim in a router.
Get it through a cashback site, I got £100 back last year.

Btw, they also have cheaper business contracts at £27 for unlimited data (24 month plan). The upside is those have a 1TB data limit, unsure of the downside.
The personal ones have 600 or 650GB limit (even though they say "unlimited").

@Lucian will hate me for saying this but 12 tethering devices or 600GB twice in a 6 month period!!!! 650GB is O2. If u do get EE, try not to get kicked off :)

I just checked the small print on the product page and it doesn't mention any FUPs. Can anyone find a link with this 600gb limit?

Not worth it on EE unlimited sim only a lot of restrictions there. its ok if you know how much you use in a month less then 600GB

In my opinion why pay more if you can get decent if not better speeds depending in your area on Three network / Smarty only 4G at the moment or Vodafone / Voxi.

Three Network 4G/5G not good in my area 5G mast 10 to15min walk away

EE 5G monopole mast right next to my building 4G should be good also

Dont know about 02 5G as coverage checker says no 5G in my area maybe could pick it up i also dont know if there 4G is good.

Why im leaning towards Vodafone after Three Network its value for money as I need a Sim only plan Vodafone unlimited fup is 9TB as someone mentioned on another thread The only reason it’s 9TB on Vodafone is because of a system limitation that doesn’t allow something to have an unlimited value and so has the maximum value allowed.

Vodafone tells me I could expect to see speeds of 400mbps.

Im surprised that I dont have access to proper fibre in my building no Community Fibre, Hyperoptic and G network who mostly focus in London.

Only have Openreach Fibre can only access speeds up to 80mbps.

Deployment of 5G looks like faster then Fibre in my area.
