Talking about EE, not smarty. Not true! I am on social tariff on smarty still fastest speed!
Depends where you use them as in the town I live, O2/Three/Vodafone all suffer from terrible congestion and the only real option is EE.EE are rubbish on social tariff! Smarty are way better than this
You mean like a few operators who stated "we have no plans to re-introduce roaming charges" than as soon as they could, they did a U-turn and did just that....no plans to hike the prices or cap the speed, until they do.
Glad I was able to helpGlad that 1p mobile will have no plan to restrict speed cap or price rise. Good on them
I get 250GB data from EE for £16.10 (12mo contract, 100mbps max speed) ... all you have to do is buy a EE PAYG sim from a shop, then call EE and ask about the PAYG --> PAYM offers, I was able to get 30% off my contract, and double data.I'm off to 1p mobile as well from EE. Next month I'm paying £22.00 a month SIM only with 40Gig of data with EE. My mobile data usage is minuscule as I'm always on Wi-Fi in most places I'm in away from home. Jumping to £5.00 1 Gig of data and unlimited calls/tests with 1p mobile, the EE equivalent package is £15.00.
Thats better than retention's which is 125 gig for £15 month.I get 250GB data from EE for £16.10 (12mo contract, 100mbps max speed) ... all you have to do is buy a EE PAYG sim from a shop, then call EE and ask about the PAYG --> PAYM offers, I was able to get 30% off my contract, and double data.
Oh just to note that I said i was a BT Broadband customer (i might not beThats better than retention's which is 125 gig for £15 month.
That's a good deal, however in my case I just don't have the need for that much data and can easily get by on 1Gig a month, and the odd time I'm away without Wi-Fi I can easily top up the data and still end paying much much less over a year.I get 250GB data from EE for £16.10 (12mo contract, 100mbps max speed) ... all you have to do is buy a EE PAYG sim from a shop, then call EE and ask about the PAYG --> PAYM offers, I was able to get 30% off my contract, and double data.
That's good, it seems that 1p do get a good deal from EE being an MNVO which has all the main features of it's parent network. It leads me to think if they're seeing how they do, as they're the only network who don't have a 'budget' brand like Voxi, Giff Gaff and Smarty. That's a good deal, however in my case I just don't have the need for that much data and can easily get by on 1Gig a month, and the odd time I'm away without Wi-Fi I can easily top up the data and still end paying much much less over a year.
If you are regularly using 250Gig of data a month then its a good deal of course.
Just for info, now fully moved over to 1p mobile, number ported in a couple of days, absolutely no issues and as expected because it is still EE, everything else is exactly the same.
Or if you want a bit of headroom, Lebara is £4.90 per month for 3GB, with first 6 months at 99p (if you buy via link on MSE). But that's on the Vodafone network, not EE.Jumping to £5.00 1 Gig of data and unlimited calls/tests with 1p mobile, the EE equivalent package is £15.00.
Yeah - "no plans" is just corporate waffle.no plans to hike the prices or cap the speed, until they do.
Indeed, just moved over to them on the 6 month offer and its good having some extra leeway on the data allowance for a bit less cost (plus the 6 months at significantly reduced price). Vodafone signal is proving better around my location, and at home I've gone from one or two bars on EE and throughput of one meg a second if lucky, to full signal and 30Meg speeds on 4G with Vodafone. Wi-Fi calling/VoLTE all working as well on Lebara. The only slight negative is very few options to control network settings on their website, for example no options to bar premium rate numbers/texts/international calls or set or remove call forwarding or voicemail.Or if you want a bit of headroom, Lebara is £4.90 per month for 3GB, with first 6 months at 99p (if you buy via link on MSE). I think this is a Vodafone issue more widely. I'm with Voxi and don't have many meaningful options on the website. The only thing I can do is turn adult content blocking on/off. Everything else has to be done via shortcodes - for instance, turning off voicemail is *#61#.Indeed, just moved over to them on the 6 month offer and its good having some extra leeway on the data allowance for a bit less cost (plus the 6 months at significantly reduced price). Even worse... It's access to EE wifi hotspots. Not BT Wifi as I assumed when I signed up...Basically access to BT WiFi Hotspots when you're out and about.
BT WIFI is quoted as over 5 million hotspots and is available to all BT Broadband customers who allow the hotspot on their router. Login still uses BT ID or you have to purchase a BT WIFI subscription. Early in the purchase of EE some EE contracts included BT WIFI but not any more.Even worse... It's access to EE wifi hotspots. How many people have EE home broadband, with that guest network enabled on their router.. None.
