EE EE Deals

Some good sim only monthly deals to be had if you use a javascript blocker like Ghostery to block popup. You don't need to be an ex plusnet customer, and number porting from other networks has been successful, but best to do it post activation.

5gb for £4
10gb for £8
20gb for £10
125gb for £13

All include:

5G SIM Plan
  • Essentials plan
  • Stay Connected Data
  • Gift data to all the family
  • Excellent speed, max. 100 Mbps
  • Unlimited minutes and texts
  • 1 month plan

With the caveat that some people have been caught out supplying non-Plusnet PAC numbers at sign up and then had the entire contract refused.

If porting it’s advised to wait until everything is set up and active and only then setting up the port yourself.

Don't they call you to confirm you were on Plusnet?

No, wasn’t even mentioned.

The only people who seem to have been refused are those who have presented non-Plusnet PACs during sign up or directly said they weren’t a Plusnet customer but wanted the deal.
Do you know if theres actually a speed cap? Some people on HUKD said they got over 100mbps.

There is a speed cap on these plans. But it's not an absolute limit of 100Mb. If I connect to a 5G Tower it will jump up to 140Mb then gadually fall until it settles at around 115Mb. 115 Seems to be where the limit actually sits on the 100Mb plans.

This definitely wasn't the maximum speed limiting it either. I tested in the same time and place with an unrestricted SIM on EE's network and got more than double this speed.

Makes sense it’d be a little over 100Mbps or people would call up complaining that they’re only getting 99.

Just orderd the 125gb plan for £8.50 with student discount. Hope everything goes according to plan 🤞

Just done the same thing haha, wish you luck
Have you managed to get it for that price? What did customer service ask for when you called them, or did they call you?

well i've ordered it and I received an email saying thanks for order etc we will call you within 48hrs
I decided not to go ahead with the order. Might try and get it without the Plusnet discount but with student and a additional 30% off multi line discount, if my family switch to the 5gb plan also with student discount. Should work out even less than £8.50 for the 125gb plan with the piece of mind getting it legitimately.

I'd say its worth a shot, the worst they can do is say they can't complete the order.
But I wouldn't feel bad about doing it illegitimately since these companies don't care about you, so why should you care about them.

FYI

You won’t get that monthly price, the 30 day 125GB plan is £30 a month.

Not true, customer service offered the 125gb plan for 10.50 with just the student discount.

The Plusnet plans are just standard offers, but with a discount automatically applied at checkout.

If you say so, I’m going by the published EE prices as they are shown.
