I think the new regulations Ofcom allow which is a fixed price increase during contract should be tied to "average price" advertising.
An extreme example could be e.g. Offering a discounted price in February, and then have a small print about the April annual increases. Advertising a average price would make it harder for these type of contracts to mislead people, especially when the contract is quite long 18-24 months.
