I am not sure what Street View is, I just can see the map.

My friend's phone works fine, is 20MHz not good, I am sorry I am not particularly sure what 20MHz means.
Should explain better, EE only has a 20MHz band 3 (1800MHz) 4G deployment at that location. Usually they have at least a 40MHz band 3 deployment in the majority of places, I don't think there's any 20MHz deployments here.

By Street View, I meant Google Street View. It may help (although I have one mast that I cannot see at all through Street View or just going past the site, I suspect I may be looking at the wrong place).

For a busy part of London it hasn't been seen / updated since March last year, it might not be in use now.

I had a look on Street view and can't find any small cells or street light antennas at all. 🤷‍♂️

What does 20MHz mean though? I mean is more better? Does this mean it works better indoors?

I am literally learning from first steps, so I am sorry to bother all the experts here and the employees with my questions, I have long been afraid to post as I don't want to make myself look silly!

I have only just got to grips with speed tests!

It's just the amount of capacity a mast has on one sector, generally 10MHz = 100mbps 4G, 105mbps 5G

I spent the weekend travelling from Shropshire to wales, camping in wales and heading around the Arthog & Barmouth area.

I have to say that I am not sure if it anything to do with the SRN, but I was impressed with the coverage level they have now in mid-wales.

At the woodland campsite I could get around 200mbps DL / 40mbps UL, then on the way back I streamed radio travelling back to Shropshire on the A470/458, I know previously there were gaps with no coverage. Now, I can say I never lost coverage once, the radio did cut out a few times for a short period, but overall it worked fine... from what i can see, you can see the coverage enhancements on EE in Mid-wales are really making a difference, good to see!

It's definitely gone now. It used to be in the Shell sign itself. The cabs are/were hidden behind the fence and from streetview history seemed to get an upgrade in 2016/2017, probably to add 4G.

That's actually really cool, I love these cool deployments where they don't just put boring old poles up everywhere. Wish it would happen more tbh.

Mind if I ask where eNB 15769 is? I've tried looking in the location multiple times, but I don't see anything that actually looks like cellular equipment (other than a small pole sticking out the top of the church, I don't know whether it's an antenna or not, seems a bit small).

Cheers Gavin, I'll be able to sleep now. 😁

I even looked at the past years piccies but had no luck, it seems you're a better Sherlock than yours truly. :giggle:

Thanks, do you work for EE?

Why has the mast been removed? The coverage isn't as strong as it used to be.
EE might no longer have permission to broadcast there etc

I think there's a former EE employee here (don't quote me on this), I don't think there's any employees that currently work for EE, Three or Vodafone here though. There's one that works for O2 but they've gone very quiet and there's another that works for the Tesco Mobile MVNO (super friendly to speak to if you want to talk about O2).

Its all inside the church, as per Gloucester planning application 23/00763/FUL

Edit: you can see the false wall under the middle window on streetview, but not on the South side, so its 3 sectors (planning says 3 antennas), but perhaps not much coverage from it to the South

My best guess is the antennas are hidden inside. The red brick underneath the middle windows look fake and the full antenna sits behind.

That's interesting, explains why I've never been able to spot it. Don't think there's any other sites in the area that are as interesting as that unfortunately.

Thank you for sending it over!
