It seems that EE has embraced small cells here in London. Still very far from O2 in terms of numbers, but they've been installing many new ones this year.

Speeds are usually around 100-150Mbps, but there are some exceptions where EE is weak and they take on more load. Still, after a few weeks of O2's 2-30Mbps B3 small cells, I can't really complain about 50Mbps... 😂

I hope eventually they allow them to be used as anchor for a NR band. Right now they're 4G only.
I think they seem to be embracing it in quite a few places (including areas where O2 doesn't), I want to test ours since we have 4 but haven't been able to yet.

Not all Street Hubs seem to be broadcasting 4G though, there's one outside of TKmaxx here that has no indication of broadcasting 4G and I came across a site in Swindon (outside a Tesco Express) which doesn't seem to be broadcasting EE 4G from a quick glance.

I expect EE to overtake O2 on the small cells deployments soon if O2 doesn't start deploying more (with ideally additional capacity like B3+38).

Local mast has gone down again on EE, why is it constantly experiencing issues?

Means EE has god awful signal here again (trying to switch from telephone exchange, rooftop site and B20 on a site on the A40).

EE B3+3, 1815 EARFCN is at -130dBm

you're kidding me, I'm even slightly picking up the Birdlip Radio Station mast (-129 to -134dBm) according to NetMonster

why, it's 7mi away

EE is having a panic attack with the god awful signal, messing up all my data for Vodafone and Three again 😭

I have been getting a network status email from EE, every day for the past 2 weeks.

'The issue is taking a little longer than expected to fix'.

It has taken you 8 years so far..........The issue reoccurs every few months and wipes the area out.

A planned outage would normally occur roughly in line with daylight hours. Depending on the config, any power cutovers need a straight 36-48 hour outage. Antenna swapouts can normally be done sector-by-sector during one day.

The site was down for roughly a month between mid-June to mid-July

Makes EE unusable at home

A few have popped up around me but not nearly to the degree of O2's rollout just yet.

I hope they will use them to patch some of their indoor coverage holes, especially near pubs.

EE should get more credit for how they do upgrades. When our main site went to 5G they turned it off for about 30 mins, put the old antennas on some temporary mounts they put up and turned it back on.

They spent three days rebuilding the tower, then switched off the old ones once the new was ready to go.

Very well planned.

Someone on DS Forum mentioned this but it looks like SA is available from EE...

New tariffs have dropped today on their website:

EE Full Works Plan

5G Standalone
Available to customers on an All Rounder or Full Works plan. Connect in selected 5G Standalone ready locations
across the UK using a compatible device. For coverage, see ee.co.uk/why-ee/5g-on-ee

Network Boost
Available to customers on an All Rounder or Full Works plan. Prioritises data coverage to your phone in busy or
crowded areas. No prioritisation of calls or texts. Available to customers in selected locations across the UK.

Seems like they're marketing it as 5G+ unlike the other two networks, nothing on it on the 5G page though.

They might have some updating to do, the new tariffs are dated from September 29th.

£106 for an iPhone 15 PM (512) on the Full Works plan 😱

Very expensive, looks like they're bringing back EU roaming on some plans but it's extremely disappointing that SA will only be available to those with no speed cap. It should be available to everyone on the main network regardless of plan, like what Vodafone and O2 did.

Glad they seem to be readding EU roaming for Essentials Plus or higher.

Disappointing that EE has publicly introduced data prioritisation (not shocked though). Once again EE being cocky 😂

Just realised that my plan is £109 (without my Bluelight discount), new customers get it for less with SA, network priority and Apple Watch data, Rude!

Re data priority someone over on DS worked at EE said months ago that it was coming. It does explain why the SA toggle is only available on iPhone 15 Pro Max now.

I'll complain about it bitterly but will be upgrading come October 27th my when upgrade is due. 😱😂

I've had word from my contact, this is happening

The plans are getting a full restructure too as you have noticed, EU roaming is coming back for some

Do you/they know if EE are going to refresh the SIMO plans as well?

I’m guessing that SA and priority is for new plans only, might call up tomorrow and try my luck!
