I'm currently an EE mobile and broadband customer. Due to the discounts, I got an additional sim for my sister, all gone well so far. Now it's time to port her old number from Smarty onto her new EE sim. Filled out the online port in form on EE's website on Friday, got an email that said it would go through in 2 working days but nothing happened. Used the online chat through the app yesterday and they said it hadn't gone through, so I confirmed the temporary EE number and the number to be ported in, along with the PAC code and they confirmed the request had gone through and it would change over today.
This is where the issues start. They've brought her old number onto my own sim and lost my number. So her EE sim still has the original number, and my original number is now cancelled! I've spoke to EE who have put in a complaint and sent it to the "M&P" team to try and revert but I was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and if so, did it get resolved? I'm hoping I can get my number back, I've had it for years!
I think the port is still in progress as her old smarty sim calls out with the port in number, but if you call the number it comes through to my EE sim.
EDIT: New inconvenience has come to light, I can't use anything that requires 2FA. Eufy has asked me to login again on my iPad but I can't as it sends a code to my mobile number with no alternative for email. Let's hope this isn't going to take long to resolve.
