After using EE for my work line, I've received more spam calls via that number in 2 weeks than I have ever had over Three at all. They need to step up their spam protection game.
They have but there's a charge for it...After using EE for my work line, I've received more spam calls via that number in 2 weeks than I have ever had over Three at all. They need to step up their spam protection game.
I've added it to my account... Reluctantly. They have but there's a charge for it...

It's funny you mention that you've seen a spike in spam calls, I've noticed on my EE line I am getting more of those calls. I would get a few here or there but in the last month at least 3-4 a week.I've added it to my account... Reluctantly.
Let's see if it makes any difference. Also note they've signed me upto a free trial which is then £2 a month after for some security software they use. Will be removing that when I have the chance.
You can silence unknown callers but nothing by default.I assume this EE product is just Hiya, but on a network level?
Hiya News: BT and EE Select Hiya Protect for Spam and Fraud Call Protection in the UK
Hiya, the leading voice security company, today announced a new agreement with the BT to provide the industry’s leading call protection service, Hiya Protect, for BT and EE users.www.hiya.com
Samsung also uses Hiya to block spam calls.

Personally I use Google's Phone/Messages apps which are very good at blocking the type of spam calls/texts I receive, work on all Android, and is also free.
I guess this is still useful for iPhone users since Apple doesn't seem to have any protection in place?
I guess Hiya have to make money somehow, they're charging EE who pass the charge onto users. It's a bit strange to charge for the Hiya part of it when EE/Hiya would benefit from the data collected from any attempted spam/scam calls.
Also a strange decision considering that the same thing is implemented on BT/EE digital voice at no extra cost.
For what it's worth, I haven't had any such calls on my EE mobile in ages
I remember having that option back when I used a Samsung midrangerI don't have the option for Hiya on my phone. It's odd.
Yep, I've seen it before too. It's just simply not there on my phone.I remember having that option back when I used a Samsung midranger

Yes, it simply isn't there. It's meant to appear underneath 'blocked contacts' I understand, but it isn'tOn my S23 Ultra, it's inside Samsung's "Phone" app settings.
