EE speed issues anyone ?

Seeing a very large drop in speed from my 4G EE, signal ie RSRP and SINR are solid same numbers as usual but i've lost 30+ Mbps

Network info says theres no problems in my local area but ive seen another post elsewhere complaining about very low speeds suddenly this afternoon.

Amazing how the release of a free to play call of duty game can impact some damage on the UK's broadband infrastructure yet when everyone is off work sick with corona virus they're confident it'll hold up brilliantly, whilst 20million people watch netflix and you-tube all day.

We don't know if it was that, although Netflix traffic can be cached closer to a providers customers so that example isn't much use. Likewise I'm not sure if there are enough "good" shows on Netflix to cause that level of use :). See here for a bit more on COVID-19 and internet traffic:

Seems to be extending well past the CoD spike, I've been monitoring it a bit as i'm off work at the moment, Seems to be Slow during the day and into the evening and catching picking up later at night.

Now i know this is fairly typical, But this has been a very sudden and recent change from the past performance. Its possible obviously that there's more people using the service than previously, but the speed when low, so far seems to be a pretty consistent 6Mbps. then back to full speed later. It does feel very artificial.

I've been playing around and See massive differences in throughput to different servers when using a VPN today for example getting circa 400k download from EPICs server using the native EE setup, switched to VPN and was getting 5M from a Norway address, changed out to the same companies UK based Vpn address and still maintained circa 4M, turning off the VPN speeds dropped gradually over about 1 min down to several hundred k.
